Trust-based funding is central to Nature’s Heartbeat. We believe that nature is most effectively protected when the people who have lived in and looked after these landscapes for generations are in the lead. Through flexible, long-term funding and partnerships built on trust, we enable local organisations to lead conservation in ways that reflect local priorities, strengthen their organisations, and create lasting benefits for nature and communities.
